Foreigner shot and killed along Ortigas

MANILA, Philippines — A foreigner, identified as a Korean national was ambushed and killed by motorcycle-riding suspects in Ortigas Avenue Thursday, police said.

Chief Superintendent Francisco Manalo, chief of the Eastern Police District, said the incident happened at 8:30 a.m. along Connecticut Street in Ortigas Avenue.

Senior Police Officer 1 Gilbert delos Santos of the San Juan City police said the suspects were riding in tandem and immediately fled the scene of the crime.

No other information was available said Delos Santos, adding that Scene of the Crime Operatives were investigating the incident as of posting time.

Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said that the eastbound lane in Ortigas has been closed to traffic.
