NBI arrests suspect in Vhong Navarro mauling

MANILA, Philippines–The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested one of the men accused of mauling actor-TV host Vhong Navarro.

Ferdinand Guerrero was arrested Sunday around 11 p.m. at the penthouse of Ritz Tower in Makati City, Eric Isodoro, chief of the NBI Anti-Illegal Drugs Unit, said on Monday.

Isodoro said the NBI conducted almost two months of surveillance in the area.

Guerrero, Cedric Lee, Zimmer Raz, Jed Fernandez  and Deniece Cornejo had been charged with serious illegal detention, a non-bailable offense. However, Lee, Raz and Cornejo were allowed to post bail.
