MANILA, Philippines–Pope Francis visited the University of Santo Tomas, Asia’s oldest university, earlier Sunday. What message did he leave for Thomasians in the UST guestbook?
“May the Lord bless all those studying and working for a culture of encounter,” wrote the Pontiff, who simply signed it “Francis.”
A photo of the Pope’s guestbook message was posted by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) News on its official Twitter account.
During his stop at UST, Pope Francis met with leaders of different religions before he delivered a message to the 24,000 representatives from the Catholic youth sector.
After the visit to the “pontifical university,” the Pope celebrated his concluding Mass in Luneta Park before he flies back to Rome on Monday.
