Possible thunderstorms in Metro Cebu, Albay Saturday
MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau on Saturday warned of possible thunderstorms in Metro Cebu and Albay in the next 12 hours.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued the thunderstorm advisory for Albay at 9:40a.m. and Metro Cebu at 9:25 a.m.
“All are advised to continue monitoring for updates,” Pagasa said.
At 8 a.m., yellow rainfall warning was placed in the southern portion of Eastern Samar, Samar, Leyte and Southern Leyte.
Flooding is possible in low-lying and mountainous areas due to heavy rains, Pagasa warned.
The tail-end of cold a cold front in Eastern Visayas has been causing the rains in the region.
