MANILA, Philippines–The Christmas celebration in the country was “generally peaceful” except for a few untoward incidents, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Friday.

Chief Superintendent Wilben Mayor, PNP spokesman, said in a text message that the incidents monitored by the police were mostly related to indiscriminate firing.

Mayor said the PNP monitored at least three incidents of trigger-happy individuals and one incident of stray bullet in Metro Manila during the holiday revelry.
