Expect light rain — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or hanging amihan will bring light rain over Northern and Central Luzon on Tuesday.
“Cagayan Valley and the Provinces of Apayao and Ilocos Norte will have cloudy skies with light rain,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Central Luzon and the rest of Cordillera and the Ilocos Region will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rain, it added.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Article continues after this advertisementPagasa said tropical storm Hagupit, a cyclone seen to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) late Thursday or early Friday, was last observed 2,485 kilometers east of Mindanao.
It packed maximum winds of 75 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 25 kph.
It will be named “Ruby” when it enters the PAR.
