Arroyo seeks furlough following grandson’s death

MANILA, Philippines – Following the death of the son of Luli Arroyo-Bernas, former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will file a motion at the Sandiganbayan so she can attend her grandson’s wake and mourn with her family.

Jorge Alonso Arroyo Bernas, son of Luli and her husband Luigi, died Sunday morning resulting from congenital heart disease.

He was 13 months old.
