Man commandeers passenger bus

MANILA, Philippines – A bus full of passengers was taken hostage by a knife-wielding man on the Sta. Rita toll exit ‎of  North Luzon Expressway (NLEx)  ‎in  Guiguinto, Bulacan Monday morning.

An Everlasting bus bound for Cubao from Tuguegarao ‎is currently being held hostage by a still unidentified man, Robin Ignacio, NLEx traffic and safety management head, said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990 AM.

Chief Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, Central Luzon police director, said the hostage taker was armed with a knife.

Ignacio said the bus is still at the Sta. Rita toll plaza.
