Classes in Cebu suspended due to heavy rains

CEBU CITY — Public elementary and high school classes were suspended in Cebu City and the entire Cebu province today, Thursday, because of heavy rains.

Water has risen to knee-deep levels in parts of Cebu City particularly along Tagonol and Sabellano Streets in the south district.

‎The rains are caused by the low pressure area about 150 kilometers east of Surigao City, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
