Fire hits Manila residential area

MANILA, Philippines– A fire gutted a residential area in Manila on Friday afternoon, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

Fire Officer 3 Oliver Sison said that fire broke out at 12:23 p.m. on Abad Santos Avenue along Rizal Avenue Extension.

Sison said the fire reached third alarm before it was put out at 1:04 p.m.

Meanwhile, Fire Inspector Melchor Pangan said two people sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire and the cost of damage to properties.
