Domingo, Francisco fight today in Makati

/ 06:51 AM September 23, 2011

Former WBA interim world superflyweight champion Drian Francisco and Michael Domingo of the ALA Gym both weighed in at 120lb during official weigh-in held at the Tiara Oriental Hotel in Makati yesterday paving the way for today’s highly-anticipated fight dubbed “Pinoy Warriors” at the Makati Coliseum.

Francisco (20W-1L, 16 KOs), who fights under the banner of Elmer Anuran’s Saved by the Bell Promotions, will try to bounce back from his first career setback when he lost his title to Tepparith Singwangcha in Thailand.

Domingo (41W-15L-2D, 19 KOs) was steadily climbing the world rankings for the past couple of years but lost his chance to be in the title picture last year when he bowed to Vusi Malinga in South Africa in their IBF bantamweight title eliminator.

He has since bounced back with a win last July against Indonesian Richard Samosir at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City.

This fight is offered free to the public and will be shown on a delayed basis on AKTV and Solar Sports.
