Logistics firm targets MSME market

A logistics company V Cargo Worldwide is tapping the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector as a market to help the firm achieve its 20 percent growth target this year.

Paulo Tibig, president of Vintel Logistics (V Logistics) Inc., which owns V Cargo Worldwide, said the firm would introduce their SME Logistics Solutions, which would be tailor-made for the SME sector.

“At present, 99.6 percent of the enterprises in the country belong to the MSME sector providing jobs for 61.2 percent of the country’s total manpower force and has an increasing contribution to the country’s GDP or gross domestic product. We’d like to tap that market and help in our country’s economic growth”

Tibig said that SME Logistics Solution includes four options which includes Franchise Solutions, Food Logistics Solutions, Health and Wellness Solutions, and Logistics Marketing Solutions.

“These packages were designed to deliver specific requirements of these sectors or industries doing business in franchising, food and beverage, health and wellness and our niche which is the marketing, advertising and promotions.”

Tibig said that they launched the product in Cebu because of the many SMEs that their product would serve.

“The campaign of this solution is to deliver a service that is efficient, cost-effective and precise to help our SMEs grow and expand their operations in the country. In Cebu we see a lot of franchisees, a lot of restaurant owners, a growing number of health and wellness shops like The Generics and we think that our packages can really help them grow their businesses and logistics is an important segment in their operations,” Tibig said.  Reporter Aileen Garcia-Yap
