“Visayas, Mindanao and Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening,” Pagasa said.

Luis has also the possibility to intensify and make landfall on Sunday morning in northern Luzon, said Pagasa forecaster Leny Ruiz.

In Metro Manila, rains are expected Saturday afternoon due to the southwest monsoon, or habagat.

“Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest to west will prevail over southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from southwest to south with slight to moderate seas,” Pagasa said.
