Some 10 houses made of light materials were quickly swept in a 20-minute fire along Domingo Street in Barangay (village) Holy Spirit, Superintendent Jesus Fernandez, Quezon City Fire Marshal, told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview.
Based on the initial investigation, Fernandez said the fire started at the kitchen of an unnamed resident who was cooking using a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) stove.
The fire started at 5:30 a.m. but was declared out at 5:55 a.m.
No one was reported hurt in the incident.
Fernandez said the blaze destroyed an estimate of P150,000 worth of properties.
