MANILA, Philippines—The Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) suspended parts of its operations on Wednesday afternoon because of flooded tracks, an MRT official said.
In an advisory, MRT-3 spokesman Hernando Cabrera said that the MRT was confined to just half-line operations which run from North Avenue station in Quezon City to Shaw Boulevard station in Mandaluyong City and vice versa due to flooded tracks between the Ayala and the Buendia stations in Makati City.
Cabrera did not say as to when the full operations of the MRT would resume.
On Wednesday morning, the northbound operations of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 1 were also disrupted because of a train that suffered from a technical glitch.
