Technical problem stops MRT

MANILA, Philippines—A Metro Rail Transit (MRT) train stalled for 20 minutes at MRT Buendia station in Makati City due to technical glitches experienced at MRT Ortigas to Santolan station, an INQUIRER.net staff onboard the train said.

On Wednesday, a wayward MRT train overshot the tracks at Taft Avenue station in Pasay City hurting 38 passengers.

The Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) and MRT have been under fire for their inefficient management of one of the country’s largest public transportation system.
