A Singaporean manager of a business process outsourcing (BPO) firm died after falling from the 22nd floor of a Taguig City condominium building early Friday.
The police have ruled out foul play as the initial investigation showed that Qiaosheng Zhang, 30, jumped to his death minutes after making a phone call to a friend to send a farewell message to his mother.
Around 4:30 a.m., a security guard heard a heavy thud and found Zhang’s body slumped on the pavement near the corner of 30th Street and 2nd Avenue in Bonifacio Global City, just outside the Sapphire Tower of Crescent Park Residences where he rented a unit.
SPO1 Rodelio Abenojar of the Taguig police said the fatality was a department manager at Trinco Inc., a BPO company based on Ayala Avenue, Makati City.
Zhang contacted a friend in Singapore earlier that morning, revealing his intention to end his life and requesting the friend to tell his mother how much he loved her, according to YaoKuang Ng, another Singaporean and a Trinco assistant manager who spoke to the police.
Zhang was declared dead on the spot by a responding Taguig rescue team. Maricar B. Brizuela
