MANILA, Philippines— Fire that gutted Wensha Spa branch in Pasay City late Thursday has been placed under control by firemen, a fire officer said.
Earlier at 8:20 p.m., fire broke out in the wellness center near the intersection of Gil Puyat (formerly Buendia) Avenue and Roxas Boulevard.
A Pasay fire officer, who requested anonymity, told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview that firefighters were only able to contain the fire at 10:08 p.m.
He clarified the blaze has not been completely put out as of posting time.
The highest alarm it reached was fourth alarm. This prompted firemen to deploy all 10 fire trucks of Pasay City.
The fire officer said they cannot determine yet the cause of fire.
“So far, no reports of any injuries or casualties have reached our office,” he added.
