MANILA, Philippines—Even as “Glenda” left the Philippine Area of Responsibility, rains are still set to fall due to the southwest monsoon, the weather bureau said Thursday afternoon.

In its weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the southwest monsoon is affecting the western sections of Luzon.

Metro Manila, La Union, Benguet, Pangasinan, Bataan, Zambales, Palawan, and Mindoro would experience occasional rains.

Pagasa added that the rest of the country would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

As of 4 pm Thursday, a Tropical Depression was spotted outside of PAR at 990 kilometers east of Northern Mindanao with peak winds of 45 kilometers per hour.
