MANILA, Philippines-After hammering Metro Manila earlier Wednesday, Typhoon “Glenda” (international name: Rammasun) pounded Subic, but is set to leave Luzon landmass by noon of the same day, the weather bureau said.
Weather forecaster Rico Cabugayan of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Typhoon “Glenda” was spotted over Subic at 11 a.m. and would continue its northwest motion and exit Luzon.

In its 11 a.m. advisory, Pagasa said that “Glenda” packs maximum wind speeds of 140 kilometers per hour with gusts of 170 kph while moving at a pace of 25 kph.
Metro Manila, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Lubang Island, and Pangasinan, are under public storm signal no. 3.
Areas under public storm warning signal no. 2 are La Union, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Southern Aurora, Northern Quezon including Polillo Islands, Laguna, Batangas, and northern parts of Occidental and Oriental Mindoro.
Ilocos Sur, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Quirino, rest of Aurora, Camarines Norte, Marinduque, rest of Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, and Calamian Group of Islands are under public storm warning signal no. 1.
“Glenda” is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday morning.
