MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan third division ordered to appear in court doctors of the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital and the Philippine Heart Center for the hearing over Jessica Lucila “Gigi” Reyes’ motion to be transferred to a bigger hospital.
Atty. Dennis Pulma, executive clerk of court, said the court issued a subpoena for the following to appear on Tuesday, July 15;
Dr. Anthony Lontoc and Dr. Prudencio Santa Lucia of the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital;
Medical director or his representative of the Philippine Heart Center;
And Jail warden Jundelina Jagunap of the Taguig City Jail female dormitory in Camp Bagong Diwa
Reyes, the former aide of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, on Friday filed a motion to be transferred to a tertiary hospital, citing her seizures after she was detained in Camp Bagong Diwa.
“From the foregoing, accused Reyes respectfully implores that this Honorable Court authorize and allow accused Reyes to be transferred to and confined at a tertiary hospital, preferably the Philippine Heart Center or the Sta. Ana Hospital where her attending physicians are connected so that the cardiac condition and neurologic pathology status of accused Reyes can be properly evaluated and addressed,” Reyes’ motion stated.
Reyes was rushed to the Taguig-Pateros hospital just hours after she was transferred from the Sandiganbayan jail to Taguig City jail Wednesday night.
She was again transferred to the Philippine Heart Center on Friday.
The Taguig City jail warden reported to the court that Reyes was transferred to the Philippine Heart Center on Friday based on the clinical abstract prepared by Dr. Lontoc.
The clinical abstract prepared by Dr. Lontoc, her attending physician, revealed that Reyes was suffering from hypertensive urgency and Neurocirculatory Asthenia.
Reyes is the co-accused of Enrile in plunder charges over the pork barrel scam. She surrendered to the court after an arrest warrant was issued.
