DOJ turns down Lee’s bid to stop preliminary probe
MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday turned down the bid of embattled Globe Asiatique owner Delfin Lee to stop the formal preliminary investigation on the third and fourth batch of syndicated estafa complaint against him.
Lee arrived at the DOJ escorted by members of the Pampanga Provincial Jail.
The DOJ specifically heard the case of double sale of several housing units at the Xevera Homes in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
Senior State Prosecutor Emilia Victorio, head of the investigating panel, said there are a total of 27 complainants against Lee in this case.
Lee was given up to July 7 to answer the complaint.
