Sandiganbayan rejects Arroyo’s request to post bail

MANILA, Philippines – The Sandiganbayan junked former President and Pampanga representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s motion for reconsideration to post bail on a plunder case, Radyo Inquirer 990AM said.
The report said the first division of the Sandiganbayan denied the motion because there was no reason for it to reverse its earlier decision.
It said Arroyo could not post for bail because evidence against her was strong.
Arroyo is under hospital arrest for allegedly funneling money from the confidential fund of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
