Possible rainshowers on a cloudy Saturday—Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines—The state weather bureau said the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy, experiencing isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms on Saturday.

In their 24-hour weather forecast posted in their official Facebook account, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said it expects this weather in the afternoon or evening due to the ridge of high pressure area over Northern Luzon.

The country will experience light to moderate winds from the southeast to prevail over Luzon, and winds from east to southeast over the rest of Luzon.

Meanwhile, winds from the East will prevail over Visayas and Mindanao.

Coastal waters are also forecasted to be slightly and moderately rough, Pagasa said.

Meanwhile, thunderstorm advisories are raised in the following areas: Metro Manila, Samar (Santa Rita and nearby areas) Agusan del Sur (Manat),Surigao del Sur (Bislig), Basilan (Maluso), Bohol (Loon, Sikatuna, Bilar, Antequera, Maribojoc, Loay, Alburquerque, Tagbilaran City, Loboc, Clarin and nearby areas), Samar (Villareal, Marabut and nearby areas) and Leyte (Barugo, San Miguel and nearby areas).

Also, light to moderate rains are expected to prevail over: Zamboanga City, Davao Oriental (Boston), Surigao del Sur (Bislig), Basilan, Agusan del Sur, northern portion of Palawan, Bohol (Panglao, Danao and nearby areas), and Laguna (Paete).
