MANILA, Philippines—The physician of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles told the Makati City Regional Trial Court during a hearing that aside from stress, “private, intimate contact” may have also caused the bleeding.

Dr. Efren Domingo, in his testimony, said “our patient is human, she has her urges.”

The prosecution asked if there was a possibility of sexual contact but Domingo said he did not ask her.

Napoles’ bleeding started on May 17 but the doctor said he was informed only on May 19. He said her bleeding was significant as she soaked her jogging pants and her bed.

He said further examination also showed that her diabetes has worsened.

He said that in the following days, he said he told Napoles to take her medicines and have minimal movements.

Then, her bleeding subsided.

He said he could discharge Napoles on May 28 or after seven days of no bleeding since May 21.
