MANILA, Philippines—At least one was killed in a blast after a still unidentified man hurled a hand grenade at a house in Makati City on Monday morning.

Senior Superintendent Manuel Lukban, Makati City Police chief, told INQUIRER.net over the phone that a man wearing a‎ bonnet suddenly threw the explosive directed to a certain “Joy” at a house in the corner of Lawton and Kalayaan Streets in West Rembo.

Lukban said the still unidentified fatality tried to save the suspect’s target by trying to throw the grenade at another direction but failed.
