Traffic was snarled just hours after Pagasa (Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) issued a thunderstorm advisory over Metro Manila, particularly Marikina and North Caloocan.
Traffic also worsened at the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) on Saturday after a thunderstorm over Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales and Nueva Ecija.
