Cloudy skies in metro, Eastern Visayas due to LPA, says Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines—Cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms are forecast in Eastern Visayas because of a low pressure area, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

The LPA was last observed 240 kilometers east northeast of Catarman in Northern Samar, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon and over Eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough, Pagasa said.

Light to moderate winds coming from the east to northeast over the rest of Luzon and Visayas and from the northeast to northwest over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas.
