Trimedialympics to be revived

AFTER several failed attempts, the revival of the Trimedialympics was finally started with an organizational meeting held last Wednesday at the Cebu City Sports Center.

The move to revive the athletic meet which exclusively caters to members of the Cebu media, was initiated by the Cebu City Sports Commission.

Temporarily appointed as commissioner for the Trimedialympics was Bobby Inoferio. His appointment is awaiting approval by the Sports Commission.

Brando Velasquez, CCSC executive director, said the meeting was more of like an initial discussion on who would be eligible to participate in the meet and formulation of ground rules, among others.

FEATURED STORIES

Events to be contested are basketball, volleyball, chess, scrabble, badminton, billiards and darts.

In the next meeting, Velasquez said participating media will be given a role in the revival of the sporting event involving print, TV and radio. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
