5.5-magnitude quake hits Sultan Kudarat
MANILA, Philippines– A 5.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Sultan Kudarat on Thursday afternoon, but no aftershocks were expected, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The tremor was recorded 244 kilometers southwest of Palimbang at 12:38 p.m., Phivolcs said.
The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 584 kilometers. No immediate damage was recorded.
