MANILA, Philippines—The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Thursday advised motorists to use alternate routes this weekend as the Department of Public Works and Highways would be conducting reblocking and repair work on Edsa.

In a traffic advisory, the MMDA identified  the affected areas as the stretch of Edsa between Boni Avenue and Guadalupe Bridge (southbound) in Mandaluyong City; between Guadalupe Bridge and South Drive (southbound, fifth lane) in  Makati City; and between Don Ang Street and Gen. Tinio Street (northbound, fifth lane) in Caloocan City.

The repair work will start in these areas at 10 p.m. on Feb. 21 (Friday) and end at 5 a.m. on Feb. 24 (Monday). All roads will be fully passable by Monday morning, the MMDA said.
