CA panel recommends for promotion spy chief linked to Burgos disappearance

MANILA, Philippines—The  chief of Intelligence   Service  of the  Armed of the  Philippines (ISAFP), linked  to the  disappearance of activist  Jonas Burgos, has been  recommended  for  confirmation anew by  a panel of the Commission  on Appointments.

The  CA’s  committee on national defense on  Tuesday  recommended for  confirmation by the plenary the promotion of ISAFP chief  Brigadier General  Eduardo Año to the  grade of  Major  General and that of 17 other military  officers.

Just four months ago, the  CA  confirmed  Año’s  promotion to the rank  of  Brigadier General.

Following are the 17 others  recommended for confirmation in the plenary:
