Did you know: Salvador Araneta

The late industrialist, educator and public servant Salvador Araneta was born in Manila on Jan. 31, 1902. He served as secretary of Economic Coordination under President Elpidio Quirino and secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources under President Ramon Magsaysay. He was one of the founders of several institutions like the Gregorio Araneta University Foundation, now De La Salle Araneta University, and RFM Corp. He died on Oct. 7, 1982, at the age of 80.
