Tillor, Ponce win in Warrior 50

NOEL TILLOR logged his first-ever ultramarathon win after finishing first in the Warrior 50 Ultramarathon yesterday at the Be Resorts in Mactan.

Tillor clocked 4 hours, 49 minutes and 13 seconds to bag the crown.  Renz Gabuya claimed second place with a time of five hours and five minutes. Kenji Yoshioka rounded off the top three male runners with a time of five hours, 32 minutes and 20 seconds.

Melina Ponce claimed the women’s crown  after finishing in five hours, 39 minutes and 25 seconds.

The running event was organized by Front Runner Magazine headed by editor-in-chief Jonel Mendoza.

Runners were treated to an after-party at the Be Resort. Mendoza returns to Cebu this November for the Cebu Century Run, a 102-kilometer race from Bogo City./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
