MANILA, Philippines—With heavy traffic expected on Manila’s major streets during the Black Nazarene procession, Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno has cut working hours at the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and trial courts in the city of Manila by half on Thursday.
“Office hours will be until 12 noon only. This is in anticipation of heavy traffic due to the Black Nazarene procession in the City of Manila but also balancing the needs of litigants and lawyers who may need to file pleadings and meet deadlines for that day,” lawyer Theodore Te, Supreme Court public information chief, said in an advisory posted on Twitter.
