THE jail warden of the Lapu-Lapu City Jail is proposing that visitors be barred from bringing cell phones inside the facility.

Supt. Samson Abaygar endorsed his proposal to Lapu-Lapu City Councilor Rodulfo Potot, who scheduled a public hearing on Sept. 13 to discuss the plan.

Potot is the committee chairman on police, fire and penology. The public hearing will be attended by jail officials and the inmates’ relatives.
