Man arrested, charged for stealing student’s motorcycle in Malabon City
MANILA, Philippines—A man is now facing car theft charges after he was caught driving a motorcycle he stole from a student in Malabon City earlier this week.
The Malabon Police identified the suspect as Jayson Dalisay, a 28-year-old driver from San Jose Street, Beata, Pandacan, Manila.
The suspect was arrested by Malolos City Police in Bulacan, riding on the motorcycle that 17-year-old student Rainier Marapao took to school on Monday morning.
Police reports showed that Marapao arrived at his school at the De La Salle-Araneta University in Barangay Potrero, Malabon, using his white and blue Suzuki motorcycle, at around 9 a.m. on Monday.
He then went on to class, but at around 10:30 a.m., after his class, he noticed his motorcycle was no longer at the place he parked it, and reported it to the police, which issued an alarm for the lost motorcycle.
Later that day, the Malolos City Police reported that they have arrested Dalisay in an operation in Barangay Guinhawa, Malolos, Bulacan, for a separate car theft case.
