Depressed man tries to kill self

A 21-YEAR-OLD man allegedly tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrist in his rented apartment in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.

The man’s live-in partner told police that depression may have been the cause of the suicide attempt.

The man became depressed because their daughter had been sickly due to asthma.

The woman said he noticed that her partner was silent until they went to sleep last Monday.

It was around 5 a.m. when the woman discovered her bloodied partner.
