American found dead in Cebu City hotel
AN American man was found dead in his hotel room in barangay Sta. Cruz, Cebu City.
Jordan Elliot Pease, 33, had slash wounds in the wrists and arms when personnel of Diplomat Hotel found him Monday afternoon.
It was unclear if the man committed suicide, police said.
PO3 Lou Pagara said there were no signs of struggle in the room.
Pease was found lifeless on top of a bed with a bloodied folding knife beside him.
Pagara said Pease checked in at the hotel with a man last Nov. 27, the day he arrived in the country.
Pease’s companion checked out the following day, police said.
Hotel workers forced open the door using a master key after the American did not request for a room cleaning since Friday.
Several cans of beer were recovered in his room.
The cause of death will be known after an autopsy./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
