Commuter train crashes in Jakarta, 2 dead
JAKARTA, Indonesia — A train company spokeswoman says a commuter train has crashed into a truck hauling liquefied gas in Jakarta, sending a fireball of orange flames shooting skyward.
Eva Chairunisa, spokeswoman of PT KAI Commuter train company, says the crash happened in southern Jakarta.
Passenger cars were seen lying on their side while black smoke billowed from parts of the engulfed train.
She says at least two people were killed, including an engineer.
