PP8 Mexican fighters arrive
MEMBERS of Team Mexico arrived last night as the Pinoy Pride 8: Philippines vs. Mexico reaches fever pitch.
Highly regarded Mexicans Francisco Rosas, Rosbel Montoya, hard hitting Gerson Guerrero and their entourage touched down at the Queen City of the South at 7 p.m. via a Cathay Pacific flight.
The visiting Mexicans looked sharp and ready for the Sept. 10 battle at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
A press conference is set at 12 noon today at the Maya Mexican Restaurant at the Crossroads in Banilad where members of television, radio and print media will meet the Mexican warriors.
Pinoy Pride 8: Philippines vs Mexico will mark the first time that three Mexican fighters are featured in one boxing event.
Undefeated Milan “Metodico” Melindo will face Franciso Rosas for the WBO Intercontinental flyweight championship while a battle of KO artists will be showcased in the Jayson “El Nino” Pagara vs. Rosbel Montoya duel.
