SHS-AdC routs UC Baby Webmasters, gains momentum heading into rematch with CEC

The Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles gained some momentum heading to their much-awaited  rematch with the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons after they blew past the University of Cebu (UC) Baby Webmasters, 94-55, in the juniors division of the Cesafi Sunday night at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Magis Eagles and the reigning champions Dragons are set to duke it out today with the former putting their undefeated 6-0 (win-loss) record on the line.

The two squads battled in the finals series last year with the Dragons completing a three-game sweep of the Magis Eagles for their first-ever title.

The romp over the Baby Webmasters was led by the 14 points each of reserve big men Mavii Suarez and Alexander Lim while Aaron Sing and Philippine Under-16 national team member Henry Asilum added 12 and 11, respectively.

The Dragons are currently at 5-1 and would like to complicate the top of the leaderboard with a win today. Leading the pack is the University of the Visayas (UV), which finished the first round with a 7-1 record.

CEC will be led by veteran center James Sumayang along with guards Luther Huevos, Marvin Bauya, Rex Villarosa and Alfred Sedillo.

The Don Bosco Greywolves and the University of Southern Philippines Foundation Baby Panthers battle one another in the curtain raiser.
