Ramirez, Monjas lead winners in Red Cross Run in Lapu-Lapu

DUMAGUETE City’s Mereeis Ramirez and Bonifacio Monjas emerged as the 42-kilometer winners in the Philippine Red Cross Lapu-Lapu/Cordova chapter 143: Marathon For Humanity yesterday at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City.

Ramirez, who also topped last Saturday’s Hotel Elizabeth Royal Run, crossed the finish line in 3:33.40 while Monjas finished with a time of 2:55.37.

Kenyan Isaac Simat won the men’s 21k race while Jhean Andrin ruled the distaff side.

John Daryl Manos and Irish Delechos emerged the fastest in the 6k race while Ana Maximo and Ronald Baguio topped the 3k race. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
