Simat, Ramirez top elizabeth run

KENYAN Isaac Simat and Dumaguete City’s Mereeis Ramirez were named the “King and Queen of the Road” after they dominated yesterday’s second Hotel Elizabeth Royal Run at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

Simat and Ramirez lorded over the 21-kilometer half marathon. Simat clocked 1:14.07 to be named king while Ramirez finished in 1:40.59 to take the queen title.

Kenyan Abraham Missous captured the top spot in the 10k race with a time of 32:14. while Lovely Fe Andrin (54:39) ruled the women’s side.

In the 5k race, John Daryl Manos (15:09) and Cherry Andrin (18:39) emerged winners. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
