Budgets of 3 more gov’t agencies get Senate OK

MANILA, Philippines – Three more agencies of government got the nod of the Senate when their respective budget proposals for 2014 were deliberated on the floor on Wednesday.

The three are the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Judiciary and the Department of National Defense.

The Senate also approved Tuesday the 2014 budgets of the six agencies— the Department of Finance, the National Economic and Development Authority, the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council, the Department of Justice, Department of Labor and Employment and the Department of Tourism.

The chamber has started holding morning sessions to ensure the passage of the 2014 national budget before the year ends.
