Senate OKs budget of 6 gov’t agencies
MANILA, Philippines – The proposed budgets of six government agencies for 2014 were approved by the Senate on the floor on the first day that the chamber began its morning sessions on Tuesday.
The six are the Department of Finance, the National Economic and Development Authority, the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council, the Department of Justice, Department of Labor and Employment and the Department of Tourism.
The Senate will resume its plenary deliberations of the proposed 2014 budget on Wednesday.
The chamber was hoping to approve the national budget before the year ends.
