FOUR TEAMS will try to take a step closer towards a berth in the semifinal round of the 2013 Philippine Collegiate Champions League as they battle one another at the start of the stepladder phase today at the Cebu Coliseum.

Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) third placers University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors look to figure prominently in this tournament when they battle the Visayas regional champions Iloilo Doctors’ College in the main game set at 7:15 p.m.

The Holy Trinity Wildcats from General Santos City and the STI College Olympians will kick things off with a game at 5:30 p.m. A win by the Warriors will book them a bout against Cesafi runners-up Southwestern University (SWU) tomorrow. The winner of the Wildcats-Olympians game will be taking on the Cesafi champions University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers.
