The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, according to Pagasa.

It also said moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast would prevail over Luzon while its coastal waters would be moderate to occasionally rough.

In Visayas, light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast will prevail.

Meanwhile, Department of Science and Technology-Pagasa posted over Facebook that thunderstorms affected parts of Mindanao, particularly in Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Bukidnon, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, South Cotabato.

In an earlier report, typhoon internationally named “Francisco,” which will be locally named as “Urduja,” is expected to enter the country by Sunday or Monday.

But Leni Ruiz of Pagasa said that it would not directly affect the country like “Tino” (international name: Wipha).
