QCU-FC routs Hijos FC
QUEEN City United-Football Club (QCU-FC) overwhelmed Hijos FC, 8-1, in the lone elimination game of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF)-Smart National Club Championships elimination for Group E of the Visayas cluster yesterday at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) football pitch.
With the win, QCU-FC advanced to the group of 10 in the national level of the tournament.
Junard Aguilar led QCU-FC with two goals he made in the 49th and 60th minutes. Siegfred Apurado started the scoring spree of QCU-FC after he netted a goal at the 15th minute of the first half. Pintho Kabulo drilled in another one at the 42nd minute.
Ariel Cahilig contributed another goal at the 47th minute. Other scorers were Jade Paghubasan (65th and 81st) and Ahmed Cheik Camara (75th).
A football clinic was also conducted before the match that was handled by C-Licensed Program coaches. It was participated in by around a hundred young booters. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
