Breast cancer victim asks readers for help
JESUSA Argote is a 44-year-old woman who suffers from stage 3 breast cancer. She undergoes chemotherapy at Philippine General Hospital every month.
“So far, doctors have removed the tumors from my right [breast]. They will be operating on the other one next, hopefully, through the kindness of your readers,” Argote said in Filipino.
The native of San Pedro, Laguna, has two children. One is married while the other is a third year college student.
“All these years, we have survived on the income my 48-year-old husband Edward earns from being a tricycle driver. I had a difficult time accepting my ailment but then I realized that this happened for a reason,” Argote said.
